Norfolk Southern Santa appearances aren’t something you see every day. This is why Santa Boe was so honored and excited to participate in Norfolk Southern’s “Different Ride. Same Mission.” campaign, a project that celebrates the dedicated people who work behind the scenes to keep America’s railroads moving.

At first glance, Santa Claus and the railroad industry might seem worlds apart. One travels by sleigh. The other moves by locomotive. Yet both share something important: a commitment to serving others and bringing people together which is the concept behind Norfolk Southern’s “Different Ride. Same Mission.” campaign.

Throughout the year, railroad employees work tirelessly to connect communities, transport essential goods, and help keep the country moving. Their work often happens behind the scenes, but its impact is felt by families, businesses, and communities nationwide.

As a professional Santa performer, Santa Boe understands the importance of service. While his work focuses on creating joy, wonder, and memories during the Christmas season, the mission is remarkably similar: showing up for people and making a positive difference in their lives.

The opportunity to appear as a Norfolk Southern Santa was a meaningful reminder that many professions share the same purpose, even when the work itself looks very different.

One of the greatest joys of being Santa is finding opportunities to share the spirit of Christmas in unexpected places. Over the years, Santa Boe has visited schools, community events, corporate gatherings, holiday celebrations, and charitable organizations. Each appearance offering a chance to create memories and bring people together.

It also provided an opportunity to recognize the hardworking railroad employees whose efforts often go unseen but whose contributions touch millions of lives every year.

A New Look for a Viking Season

Santa Boe’s Minnesota Vikings Santa Suit started as a fun idea for football season and quickly became a fan favorite. There’s something special about football season in Minnesota. The energy, the tradition, the loyalty — it all feels larger than life. This year, Santa Boe decided to lean into that spirit with something created purely for fun: a custom Minnesota Vikings-inspired Santa suit designed to celebrate fellow fans and spread a little holiday cheer during football season.

From the bold purple coat trimmed in gold fur to the personalized “Claus 25” jersey back, the suit was made as a playful crossover between Christmas magic and Vikings fandom. It wasn’t created as an official partnership or promotion — just one fan embracing the excitement of game day in true Santa style.

People get together to celebrate Christmas for a variety of reasons, some include religious observances, family or friendship bonds, service to others, and acts of kindness. Yet, one of the best ways to create a fun, festive, and magical atmosphere is to invite Santa and/or Mrs. Claus to make the visit extra special.

As ambassadors of the Spirit of Christmas Magic, they remind us to think of others through the mantra “It is Better to Give than to Receive”.

This is the mission behind Santa Boe’s dedication to contributing his time to spreading Christmas cheer around the Minneapolis, St. Paul, and surrounding Twin Cities communities.

The theme to most of these holiday celebrations is a love of fellowship, togetherness, and sharing joy with one another. Santa Boe does his best to represent the spirit of the Christmas in a variety of ways for all ages, young and old.

Catch Santa with a

SNEAK-A-PEEK Appointment!

Remember the excitement on the night before Christmas? As a child, wondering if Santa Claus would really come and, if the reindeer would make enough noise to hear? Oh the joy of waking up and catching Santa Claus as he puts presents under the tree!

When you schedule a “Sneak-A-Peek” with Santa Boe, your giving children the magical wish of watching Santa Claus deliver their presents for Christmas!.

Once the children have gone to sleep, Santa Boe will come to your house at the appointed time (between 10:00PM and 1:00AM). You will meet Santa Boe outside where you will give a present for each child to place under the tree.

After bringing Santa Boe to the Christmas tree, someone goes to wake up and gather the children to witness Santa Boe delivering the presents. Quietly bring the children to a place where they can watch Santa as he joyfully places the gifts under the tree and/or in the stockings. As he notices the milk and cookies, he takes a small break where the children overhear his commentary. When he appreciates the reindeer treats, the children are quietly ushered back to bed as Santa makes his exit.

Each Sneak-a-peek (or spying) visit lasts approximately 5-10 minutes. Remember, the children cannot talk to Santa Boe. Nor do they want to be seen by Santa because being caught would mean they are out of bed and not behaving. Therefore, it’s important that Santa Boe doesn’t catch everyone spying!

Imagine the awe in seeing Santa Claus deliver the presents! Especially for those at the precious age of wanting to believe, yet somewhat doubting that Santa really does exist.

The whole visit takes approximately 25-30 minutes from arrival to departure.

The Minnesota Wild warmly welcomed Santa Boe as a cherished guest during the holiday season. Being a part of the Wild’s Christmas celebration was one of Santa Boe’s favorite experiences.

As a key figure of the Minnesota Wild’s holiday experience, Santa Boe delighted fans by posing for photos and spreading holiday cheer before, during, and after the game.

Adorned in his traditional Santa attire, he lead a spirited ‘Ho! Ho! Ho!’ while capturing fun and memorable moments with fans of all ages.

To kick off the excitement before the game, you would have caught Santa Boe dropping the ceremonial first puck, riding the Zamboni, or cheering the Wild towards their next victory while cruising the game suites, including the top-shelf or on-the-glass clubs.

As an ambassador of joy, fun, and goodwill, Santa Boe thrives on spreading as much holiday spirit as he can share especially since ushering cheer is what he does best!

Santa Boe is a ‘Minnesota Viking Santa’ Fan

For a few years, Santa Boe have had the pleasure of joining in some of pregame festivities for the Minnesota Vikings in the Viking Voyage space, a unique and interactive area inside U.S. Bank Stadium during the holiday season.

Along with his appearances and now his Minnesota Viking inspired Santa Suit, it has earned him the honor and affectionate nickname as the ‘Minnesota Vikings Santa.’

During the exclusive Viking Voyage interactive experience, Santa Boe takes his time to pose for photos with fans before making his way to the suites. There, he continues to spread holiday cheer with a hearty ‘Ho! Ho! Ho!’ and poses for even more photos.

Don’t forget Santa Boe’s spirited ‘Ho! Ho! Ho!’ cheer for his beloved Minnesota Vikings is his own signature Skol cheer! Situated and seated right behind the goal post, Santa Boe made a special appearance from the North Pole to attend a few games during the 2023, 2024, and 2025 Seasons.

Hoping to add some extra excitement before the game, Santa Boe played the Skol drum – a magnificent hand-carved instrument crafted by the talented artisan Curtis Ingvoldstad, right before sounding the gjallarhorn (also known as the ‘yelling horn’) just before kickoff. This massive drum and horn, signals the official start of the game and throughout the game, the drum is played to energize the crowd.

One of Santa Boe’s favorite activities as an ambassador of joy, fun, kindness, and love is rallying the spirit of all Minnesotans, young and old.

Santa Boe appeared in “The Secrets of Christmas Revealed” Movie

Although ‘the’ Santa can be in many places, he can’t be in more than one place at the exact same time! This is why Santa Claus relies on the help and experience of other Santas to loudly spread cheer for all to hear!

There is an on-going arrangement with the North Pole (aka home office), where Santa Boe has been trained and prepared to fill in for Santa Claus since he is very busy making toys. As an “Ambassador” for Santa Claus (and the North Pole) Santa Boe is a real-bearded Claus ready to represent all that is Christmas with a joyful and merry demeanor.

This is why it’s exciting to share that Santa Boe appeared in “The Secrets of Christmas Revealed” movie! A faux documentary about how the inner working of the North Pole has been revealed during a classified data breach, released in 2021.

Minnesota’s Santa Boe was excited and happy to be one of the Santas to be invited to participate in the documentary-style movie!
